Nick fought for funding to complete the largest building project in the history of UWS after Republicans slashed the UW-System budget jeopardizing the future of the only 4-year UW campus in Northern Wisconsin.
Nick led the charge when Scott Walker zeroed out the Harbor Assistance Program. By rallying both Republicans and Democrats, Nick helped save this important infrastructure program ensuring the long-term success of our shipping industry.
Through years of trying times, Nick has worked closely with the workers and management of the Superior refinery to keep it up and running.
Nick has helped keep the Nemadji Trail Energy Center on track, which will be the largest private investment in the district.

We have to provide property tax relief by living up to our promise of 2/3rds funding for our public schools.

By accepting our fair share of federal Medicaid expansion funding, Wisconsin can insure more citizens at a lower cost than taxpayers are spending currently.
